Dachshunds

The first dog that we can remember in the family was a Dachshund.

A standard smooth so it is not surprising that we would return to this breed at sometime - we just thought we would be older!

Dilly arrived on a break from a good but ill friend and stayed. She is mother to Eva, our confident little black and tan girl that does not want to show, and Lulu, our shaded red madam and and current bright star.

Together we call them the cheeky girls - because they are!

With us they enjoy life and these little ones can take all the running, swimming and cuddling they can get.

2004 was a good year. Lulu started off the year winning 2 classes at Crufts and did not look back and was placed at all the championship shows we attended.

She was Best Bitch at St Patrick's and took her first Best of Breed at Cork in May.

She gained the final points for her Irish title in June and won the BGS at 2 of the Irish circuit shows, one with Best of Breed under international Dachshund specialists.

Lulu ended the year as the Top Miniature Smooth in Ireland - Annual Champion 2004
